What to suggest to user to check for substitute's work items...

Hi,

My client needs to know that how can she check if she has successfully assigned a substitute(user B) for user A. How can she make sure that all the work items under user A can be now seen by user B in his inbox once he has been set as substitute.

So, my question is what is the best suggestion for the client.

I myself normally use table HRUS_D2 to check if subsitution is active or not and FM like SAP_WAPI_GET_WI_AGENTS to check if it is with substituted user or not. But am not sure if these are good options to let the client know.
