Update WF deadline based on update in object

Hi

We're using workflow to follow up on Quality notifications. In these notifications we've got tasks with an 'End date', by which the handling of the task should be completed.

The workflow is triggered when a task is created, and it sending reminders when the deadline is reached and when it's 1 & 2 weeks overdue.

Deadline is based on Expresion : &Task.PlannedFinishDate& ( + 1 or 2 weeks)

Basically it's working fine, but sometimes the end date for the task is changed. I can see the new end date in the WF container but the deadlines for the WF-task remains the same, thus the user ends up with deadline messages telling that it's 2 weeks overdue, while the real end date isn't reached.

Is there an (easy) way to update the deadlines ? A batch job to be run every night or something like that ?

I've looked at the FM : SWW_WI_DEADLINES_CHANGE    but it doesn't look suitable for a general batch job.

As is, the only solution I can think of is to create an event for 'Task End Date Changed' and trigger a job/WF to identify the relevant ID and recalculte the new deadlines and then run the SWW_WI_DEADLINES_CHANGE, but if there's an easier and more general way I'd really prefer it.

Any help or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Trygve
